Since its founding in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has gifted more than 332 million books to children in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia.
Her philanthropic legacy also includes programs to reduce school dropout rates, scholarships, natural disaster relief, support for women’s health and cancer treatment, and a contribution to research that helped advance the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Parton’s family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the library.
